“No Way Home”: The Best MCU Movie Ever
Genre:Action/Adventure/Fantasy
Director:Jon Watts
Cast:Tom Holland、Zendaya、Benedict Cumberbatch、Angourie Rice、Marisa Tomei
Viola's Rating:8.8
As the
closer feature film for Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2021, “Spider-Man:
No Way Home” provides the audience the best adventure with the popular avenger
“Spider-Man” as its franchise’s third episode, which was released on Dec 17.
With Spidey’s
identity now revealed following the events of “Spider-Man: Far from Home,”
Peter Parker (Tom Holland) asks Doctor Strange for help. When a spell goes
wrong, dangerous adversaries from other universes start to appear, forcing
Peter to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man. With Doctor Strange’s
help, “Spider-Man: Far from Home” became an adventurous, fantasy action, giving
moviegoers a brand-new experience watching a Marvel film.
For a long
time, there almost can’t be any cameo or crossover in “Spider-Man” series due
to copyright issues. However, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” raises the audience’s
awareness way before its release by creating the mystery of whether the
Spider-Man of all three “generations” will gather in this flick.
Let’s put
this spoiler aside! Even without the disappointment or surprise of not seeing
or seeing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” there
are enough cameos whose shots are much more than a cameo would deserve. Merely
by watching the trailer, we know that not only Doctor Strange, but also all the
Peter Parker supervillains from the classic “Spider-Man” franchise and “The
Amazing Spiderman” series are crossovers in this motion picture. Don’t forget
you’re watching a Marvel movie, so prepare yourself for more to come!
Being
different from its prequels, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is truly a coming-of-age
picture of the Wall-Crawler. Unlike Nick Fury or Tony Stark, the “guardian” in
this episode, Doctor Strange, doesn’t see Spider-Man as a kid in the first
place. However, with more and more crises appearing, Doctor Strange finally
realizes that Peter Parker is just a kid after all, but in the end, moviegoers
would witness how he changes from a kid to a grown-up.
Every hero
has its moral lesson to learn. For the Web-Head, it’s always the famous “With great
power comes great responsibility,” but in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” he’s going
to learn the importance of a second chance. It’s not only a second chance for
all the Spider-Man supervillains from the multiverse that he wants to save from
their fates dying of fighting against the popular Avenger, but also for Peter
Parker himself to make up for mistakes he has made.
All in all,
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is not only the best Spidey feature film, but the
best MCU film ever. It perfectly connects to the upcoming “Doctor Strange in
the Multiverse of Madness” in May 2022.
