It has been nine years since Hiccup first met Toothless, and our journey traveling around Berk Island has finally come to an end as “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” is going to be released on Feb 22, 2019.

Being the finale of the trilogy, this adventurous, action animation continues to tell the story of Hiccup when he discovers that Toothless isn't the only Night Fury, and at the same time, he must seek "The Hidden World", a secret Dragon Utopia, before an infamous dragon hunter and Night Fury killer, Grimmel, does harm to Toothless.

All three of the franchises are critically acclaimed, and there are a bunch of classical scenes throughout the episodes. Not only to remind the audience of those amazing moments, but also to suggest the importance of keeping the faith, moviegoers get to see a couple of the original memory shots or similar circumstances all over the feature film, and these bookends are touching by their very nature.

Besides, Toothless has fallen in love in this very last episode, and such news makes Hiccup both happy and nervous. Whether to keep Toothless with him or set him free back to the nature is the core dilemma Hiccup faces in the film, and every detail like this makes it even more difficult for both Hiccup and the audience to say goodbye to the series.

From the first episode, “How to Train Your Dragon” teaches people that mentally health is much more powerful than the inconvenience physically defect brings, and through Hiccup and Toothless’ psychosocial development and their growth accompanying each other, “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” has come to an epic conclusion.

Not only the protagonists’ growth is the main theme of the flick, but also “love” in different kinds of form. Hiccup’s coming of age along the way includes losing one parent, finding the other, and now he needs to deal with his brother-like friendship with Toothless and handle his relationship with Astrid at the same time. Believing in oneself and thinking through might be difficult, but when Hiccup’s gone through that process, he’ll become a grown man.

Moreover, with the quest for the Hidden World and more dragons appearing in the motion picture, “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” as a whole is artistic, colorful, emotional and enjoyable. Also, since there’s no need to introduce all the dragons one by one now, there could be more time to focus on their fantastic attributes and funny behavior to put on a new façade for the franchise.

All in all, even though “How to Train Your Dragon” series have come to an end, it’s not complete sad for aficionados, but a bittersweet feeling, and with the movie says its goodbye lively, there’s no doubt that it’s going to be one of the best pictures this year.
